Went to attend a meeting regarding a future Greenway. Marina was not open. New marina looks great from outside. Playground and very large picnic shelter were very clean. Families & their dogs were walking on the Greenway around the lake, which connects to a trail that goes to Marketplace Mall & other areas. New boat docks look great.

What a beautiful place to visit. I have come tk this lake since 1956. My grandfather was the very first Game Warden, AP Elliott. This is where I learned how to fish and mingle talk to all people. This time of the year is one of my favorites due the changing of the leaves. The new pier is reslly beautiful and my family sure would have loved what it has become.

Wonderful exhibit inside at the Marina office with fish, amphibians & wildlife. Restrooms (ADA compliant) also located there & by the playground. There is a 7 mile trial around the lake - all dirt - and suitable for walking, running & trail biking. Halfway around the lake, there is another parking area & restrooms. 3rd parking area is. It immediately adjacent to the lake & sketchy place to park. Or sit on the lakefront, catch some rays & enjoy the view - relax & enjoy the outdoors. Lots of places to park at the marina.

Great place to fish, boat, kayak, relax, hike, and bike, has an excellent playground. A lot of parking and space for events. Club house has a lot space for events and the tackle/bait shop has cool exhibits for all to see. Staff is helpful and nice.

A nice close place from downtown where I love taking my guys for a beautiful trip thru nature. It even has a dock you can fish from (charges do apply) and you can even buy live bait. The track is 7 miles around which is a nice bike ride or walk. A must vist if you are looking for a walk with nature.
